The Past

Ivaythe Veseperius nee Delamair is the oldest daughter of Baron Auguste de Delamair and Imogène de Cailleteau. Her siblings include Émile and André, twin younger boys.The family owns a moderate plot of land in West Coerthas, plentiful with building and alchemical resources. The manor is of formidable design, with sharp gables and prominent spires, and is located within a frozen valley, thus earning the name Vallée de Verre. Though far from safety and susceptible to wyvern attack, the manor underwent several reconstructions and renovations until it reformed into a stalwart fortress. In the waning years of the Dragonsong War, Ivaythe was tasked to defend the Delamair manor while her parents fought on the frontlines or other matters. Thus, the elezen developed an immediate interest to building structure and defense.The Delamair family strongly supports House Dzemael, providing their skills in masonry, mortar manufacture, and building restoration. Thus, they maintain a strong social status in Coerthas and continue to be a critical ally dedicated to the growth of Ishgard.Baron Delamair, Ivaythe's father, is currently the lead for several infrastructure projects in Coerthas, and she has been granted education and experience with city building and fortification. Though continuing the family craft is a safe option, Ivaythe's unsettling creativity and artistic talent demand something more inspiring.

Yet Ivaythe's offers in Ishgard didn't match her ambitions nor sate her deep well of creativity. In the era of Ishgard's (relative) peace, Ivaythe had anticipated more significant roles in construction assignments or even leading a major project, only to be left wanting.Driven by a thirst for opportunities for creativity and growth, Ivaythe traveled to other city-states, seeking experience and solitude for study. She flourished in Ul'dah, and her ideas and artful delight attracted the attention of Monetarist Lords, particularly Lord Drakkaern Vesperius, with whom she formed an immediate connection.Ivaythe soon experienced a culture where innovation and creativity had room to grow farther than titles and birthright. A cultural change she enjoyed. She spent more time in Ul'dah; an intended vacation became an extended visa. Connections started to take root, and it seemed that Ivaythe would be a permanent resident in Thanalan.But with an enticing offer back home, Ivaythe returned to Ishgard to play a role in rebuilding the Firmament and Empyreum project. She believed this was a golden opportunity, leaving what she built in Ul'dah behind.That golden opportunity was far from imagined. With the projects completed, Ivaythe was at a standstill, eventually experiencing a professional recession. Most of all, she missed what she left behind in Ul'dah.
The Present

After five years of seeing Ivaythe's dismay in Ishgard, Lord Vesperius returned to her at the recess of her professional career and upended her former aspirations for Ishgard. Offers in advancement and project leads were too hard to resist despite having to relocate permanently to Ul'dah. Nevertheless, it was a welcomed surprise, as she soon realized that her purpose in the Holy See was in miserable stagnation.The Ul'dan monetarist not only offered the Ishgardian something greater in career and but a promise of commitment. He proposed plans and funding to kick start a building charity where she could be free to grow as an architect and feed her generous nature. Thus, the lady found herself at a crossroads: familial duty or take the risk and see her dreams into fruition. She chose the risk.Leaving Ishgard for Ul'dah wasn’t an easy decision for Lady Delamair. Staunch traditionalists in the Holy See thought it was reckless, while many reformists and social climbers saw it as an opportunity to strengthen bonds between the two city-states. Notably a former suitor defied any sound reason and demanded a duel from her then-fiancé, an act which proved fatal and stained unladen snow an ugly red.

Although Ivaythe's engagement to the Monetarist Lord is considered Halone's will and enthused by many, her departure left behind a petty bitterness to a select few. While her Coerthan family has accepted and welcomed the union, Ivaythe would not forgive nor allow the indignation of those who challenged her and House Vesperius. It was an offense that was effectively quieted with discretion.Detached though not severed from Ishgard, she enjoys freedom and fulfillment in architecture and charity work in her new home in Ul'dah. Rarely does she visit the Holy See, but never from a state of fear or shame for leaving. Now, she keeps herself busy with several projects, such as designing civic centers and city infrastructure, as well as constructing venues dedicated to historical and cultural enrichment. And, of course, building influence with Monetarists and citizens alike. Elevation is her first charity company dedicated to building, while the talents used towards Vesperius Hotels and properties. Equilibrium, a water equality project, intends to provide clean and accessible water to Ul'dah and the surrounding area. And recently, her talents expanded to cultural projects in Ul'dah, where she opened an art gallery called Eminence.

Elevation Architecture is a charity dedicated to improving Thanalan through affordable housing and cultural civic centers. The name 'Elevation' was inspired by the Coerthan mountains, where Ivaythe studied and first practiced architecture. Now based in Uld'ah, Ivaythe brings her visionary designs to life, blending an artistic style of geometric symmetry, sleek lines, and luxurious materials with the timeless beauty of Ul'dan oasis decor. A signature style she refers to as 'Oasis Deco.' Her most recent project, the Astera Oasis Hotel, showcases this style, which creates a rich venue that balances both luxury and Thanalan style.

Water is life. Water is balance. Thanalan is the sacred land of Nald'thal, and by their word all who walk the sands are offered the Golden Promise. It is overdue that the scales are balanced such that all of Nald'thal's children are offered the opportunity to seize their fortunes. By equalizing the access to clean water, Thanalan can prosper long into the future. Equilibrium: The Greater Thanalan Water Equality Initiative was founded to overcome challenges of water extraction and filtration. Clean water can now be plentiful through low-cost and low maintenance methods of aero-atherical water extracters
